Chicago-based metal processing and distribution company Ryerson Inc. is expanding its presence in Georgia, adding a 147,000-square-foot warehouse in Duluth and about 25 jobs over the next yea
The company has operations in Canada, China and Mexico, and its Southeast regional headquarters is in Norcross.
Dave Keatley, vice president and general manager of Ryerson’s Atlanta-area operations, said in a news release the expansion is part of a company-wide plan to improve customer service and expedite product movement through its supply chain.
Ryerson provides finished metal products to customers in a number of industries including construction, plumbing and wind power.
Troels Adrian, business development manager for advanced manufacturing and logistics at the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce, said Ryerson’s additions show the area’s benefits for international companies.
