Alpharetta-based business consultant Delbert E. Winn has formed an alliance with Pollak & Co., an international business and legal consulting firm headquartered in Bangkok with other offices in Burma, France and Vietnam.
Mr. Winn has specialized in international joint ventures, overseas manufacturing operations and technology transfers, and is a co-chairman of the international committee of the American Corporate Counsel Association. He moved to Atlanta in 1988 and the following year worked on behalf of Southwestern Bell as a consultant to TPP International, a Thai international venture company which is affiliated with the influential Seng Thong group.
He told GlobalFax in a telephone interview that during this assignment he developed a friendship with Suphot Pruksananont, the president and CEO of TPP International. Mr. Pruksananont introduced him to Dan Pollak, the Bangkok-based founder of Pollak & Co.
Given proper business contacts and legal representation, U.S. companies should find “endless” opportunities in South Asia, according to Mr. Winn who recently returned from a joint venture project in Thailand between a U.S. wireless cable TV company and TPP.
Mr. Winn also has established technology and transfer and manufacturing joint ventures in China, India, Indonesia and Brazil.
