The Japan-America Society of Georgia is seeking 12 families to host visiting Japanese business students for 16 weeks in Atlanta

The families will receive a stipend of $800 per month and will be required to provide a bedroom with an Internet connection and two meals per day.

The students are coming as part of the J.F. Oberlin University business school’s Global Outreach Program. They will take eight weeks of ESL courses and four weeks of business English at Georgia Institute of Technology or Mercer University before completing a four-week business experience at a Japanese subsidiary or American company.

The society is also seeking five to 10 friendship families that would work with the host family to help the students adjust to life in the United States
