A major Latin American airline is using NCR Corp. technology to improve the check-in experience for travelers.

Copa Airlines, which serves 25 countries from its hub in Panama City, Panama, has added Duluth-based NCR’s online check-in service to its new mobile website.

After passengers check in on a computer, a digital boarding pass is sent to their mobile device, allowing them to bypass the check-in counter at the airport.

Usage has steadily risen since Copa Airlines began offering the service in April. NCR already provided self-service kiosks to the airline.
