The BABC-Georgia works to foster relationships between the U.K. and the state.

The British-American Business Council’s Georgia branch is once again honoring the most impactful contribution to the U.K.-Georgia economic relationship with the annual Oglethorpe Award.

Named after the British founder of the Georgia colony, the corporate citizenship award pays homage to a man who was at once a general, social reformer, member of parliament and advocate for the “working man.” It is awarded to companies.

Three finalists will be selected and announced April 5, while the winner will be announced at the May 7 Oglethorpe Ball.

Previous winners have included Lockheed-Martin, TSYS Inc., JCB, Turner and more.
