Dr. Daniel C. Bello

The Chicago-based American Marketing Association has recognized Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business professor Daniel C. Bello for “groundbreaking” work in the field of international distribution channels.

Dr. Bello received the association’s “Significant Contributions to Global Marketing Award” on Aug. 15 at the annual American Marketing Association 2015 Educators’ Conference in Chicago.

The award is given annually to a marketing educator for a lifetime of significant contribution to the field that has influenced the advancement of global marketing thought.

In addition to his role as professor, Dr. Bello is the director of the business school’s Institute of International Business and  specializes in inter-organizational relationships in international, cross-border contexts such as global alliances, business-to-business, and distribution channels.

He currently is marketing editor of the Journal of International Business Studies and previously was editor-in-chief of the Journal of International Marketing.

Prior to joining Robinson, Bello was on the faculty at the University of Notre Dame and held management positions in the product development group at the Ford Motor Co..

He holds a doctorate from Michigan State University and earned his master’s in business administration and bachelor’s in business administration degrees from the University of Wisconsin.
