Chinese heavy equipment maker Sany America Inc. has appointed industry veteran John Kuo as its director of port machinery sales and marketing forNorth America.
Mr. Kuo joined Sany five years ago and comes to the position from a parts director position. He will be responsible for boosting the Sany brand’s reach into U.S. ports. Globally, the company’s equipment is employed in 14 of the top 15 ports. In Chinese ports, it’s the market leader.
Sany sells and distributes a wide variety of products in the U.S., including excavators, crawler cranes and concrete pumping equipment. Its port machinery offerings in the American market include port reach stackers with a capacity of nearly 50 tons and empty container stackers with a maximum load of 19,850 pounds.
Sany America has its U.S. headquarters and an assembly plant in Peachtree City.
