SKC Inc., a Korean company specializing in polymer film manufacturing, has chosen Hanscomb Inc. to provide construction management services for its new facility in Covington. Based in Atlanta, Hanscomb has more than 40 offices worldwide.
SKC will develop a 65-acre site, which will accommodate a complex of new buildings including a guesthouse for visitors, an office headquarters building, a processing facility and two warehouses.
Last year, SKC announced that it would invest $1.5 billion in the project, the biggest investment ever made by a Korean business group overseas.
The company expects to produce 100,000 tons of polyester film by the year 2005, making it the largest producer in the U.S.
