The new commercial director for the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta won’t need much on-the-job training, but he might require some help navigating a changed city.

David Tyng-Hwa Wang is returning to Atlanta after nearly a decade away. He held the same position from 1998-2002.

A Taipei native, Mr. Wang arrived in July from a posting as chief of staff forTaiwan‘s minister of economic affairs.

He has also been posted in Santo DomingoDominican Republic, andWashington and has held positions in Taiwan’s foreign trade bureau and investment services department.

He replaces Yan-Hsing Yin, who retired and returned to Taiwan after his posting was complete.
