The American Chamber of Commerce in Italy has appointed Christopher M. Caputo, an attorney in the Nashville and Memphis, Tenn., offices of the law firm Baker Donelson as its representative for Georgia as well as Alabama, Louisiana and Tennessee.
Under a two-year contract, Mr. Caputo is to assist Italian businesses with investments and strategic partnerships in the Southeast.
“By locating in the Southeast, an Italian company can avail itself of lower energy costs, convenient distribution infrastructure and state governments that understand how to compete for foreign direct investment,” he said in a statement July 13.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Italy is based in Milan, Italy, and is affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington. It also is a founding member of the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce.
