A delegation of high-level officials and industrialists from India will be in Atlanta Tuesday, Nov. 30, to promote foreign direct investments in the Indian state of Gujarat and to garner interest in a trade summit to be held in Gujarat Jan. 12-13.
A dinner for the delegation is to be hosted by the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce on Nov. 30 at the Palace Restaurant in Norcross from 7-10 p.m.
The delegation includes Gujarat’s Minister of Industries Anilbhai Patel, Industries Commissioner Arvind Agarwal and Minister of Education Annandiben Patel, as well as several industry representatives.
Sectors the delegation wants to attract to the January summit include automobile, agriculture, biotechnology and nanotechnology, chemicals, energy, engineering, financial services, gems and jewelry, infrastructure development, marine, pharmaceuticals, port development, tourism and urban development.
