The Georgia Department of Economic Development is fielding inquiries from Brazil and China that could provide an easy entree into the markets for companies with the right products.

In Brazil, the department’s Sao Paulo office has registered an expressed desire for weapons and ammunition: revolvers, pistols, shotguns, carbines, semi-automatic rifles. Buyers are also asking for refinery bleach for sugar mills.

In China, where the department operates a Shanghai trade office, buyers are requesting “organic superfood powders” and paper waste in the form of rolled colored paper or brown craft paper, newsprint and more.

Chile is continuing to seek EVACAM helicopter stretchers and other specialized medical equipment.

Companies that would like to supply the products or find out more about the deadlines can contact Josh Jacob at jjacob@georgia.org for more information.
