The Georgia Department of Economic Development is leading Georgia small or medium-sized companies to trade shows in Canada and Panama in March.
The department is encouraging environmental technology companies to attend GLOBE, a conference to be held in Vancouver, Canada, from March 14-16 that is to attract 9,000 participants.
Delegations are expected to attend GLOBE from Europe, China, Japan, Latin America and other regions. The deadline for applications to join the Georgia delegation is Friday, Feb. 3.
The department also is to participate in a multi-state trade mission led by the Southern Governors Association to the Expocomer Trade Show in Panama City, Panama, March 20-25 with an application deadline of Friday, Feb. 10.
Expocomer is targeting the following industries: information technology, construction and infrastructure, textiles, electronics, medical equipment, beauty and health supplies, personal safety equipment, pumps, valves and hydraulic equipment and food and beverage.
