Alvaro Diez de Medina, Uruguay’s ambassador to the U.S., will participate in an April 1 panel discussion on doing business in Uruguay from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel (Downtown).

      Other panelists from Uruguay will include Alvaro Ramos, minister of foreign affairs; Luis Mosca, minister of economy and finance and Pedro Antmann, sub-secretary of industry, energy and mining.

      The ambassador will be visiting Atlanta March 31-April 1 as part of a delegation from Uruguay wishing to meet with Atlanta’s business leaders.  Members of the delegation have not yet been finalized, but Jorge Lepra, general manager of Texaco Uruguay S.A.; Carlos Arosa, general manager of the Coca-Cola Export Corp. and Conrado Hughes, president of the Uruguay-United States Chamber of Commerce are among those expected to be in Atlanta.
