The economy in the southeast U. S. has grown rapidly with investment from foreign companies and the increase of incoming populations. Nearly 120 Korean companies have made inroads in the region, including Hyundai Motors (Montgomery, Alabama), Kia Motors (West Point, Georgia), and other cooperative firms.
The Consulate will promote Korean companies' business environment in the southeast U.S. and support the activities of future generations of Korean-Americans. The Consulate will also work tirelessly with Korean-American communities in partnership with local and state governments in the region.
