A Peachtree City airline has reached a deal to operate a cargo freighter for Finnair Cargo on a route connecting Shanghai, Helsinki and New York.
World Airways, a subsidiary of Global Aviation Holdings Inc., will begin the flight on June 15 twice a week with an MD-11 aircraft.
“Coordinating with Finnair Cargo’s extensive international network adds an exciting element to World,” said Brian Bauer, chief commercial officer for World Airways.
In April, the airline announced that it would provide service between Brazil and the Middle East for Emirates SkyCargo.
