Bringing The World To Kids At Home: Reading Beato Goes To Greenland

As schools close and parents are forced to self-quarantine, while all spring break travels are cancelled, there is a fun and safe option for families to stay engaged at home. Over the next few days, childrenโ€™s book author – Sucheta Rawal is offering free virtual storytelling sessions to entertain kids, and give parents a much needed break. In times of uncertainty, it is more imperative than ever to lower anxiety levels among children and families and talk about travel in a positive way. What better way to do so than reading about a traveling cat?

While Kids are Stuck at Home, They Can Still Travel The World Through Storybooks

Rawalโ€™s series of 5 โ€˜Beato Goes Toโ€™ books โ€“ are based on different countries and teach kids about geography, culture, wildlife, food, and much more. The books spark imagination, inspire global learning, and encourage kids to be tolerant toward each other.

Atlanta-based Asian-American author, Sucheta Rawal is an award-winning food and travel writer. As the founder of the nonprofitย Go Eat Give, Rawalโ€™s personal mission is to raise cultural and diversity awareness with adults and kids. Sucheta has traveled to 100 countries across 7 continents, and writes for CNN and Travel+Leisure.
