Join Hon. Shane Stephens, Consul General of Ireland for the Southeastern United States, to learn about investment opportunities in Ireland.

Stephens will highlight how his office, the Atlanta based Consulate of Ireland, facilitates doing business with Ireland and in Ireland. The fastest growing economy in the European Union (EU), Ireland is exceptionally business friendly, offering a competitive tax regime; a young, English speaking workforce that’s highly educated and highly flexible; and access to the 493 million strong EU marketplace.

US investment in Ireland outstrips US investment in China, and Ireland ranks #1 in the world for foreign direct investment. Consul General Stephens will also showcase Ireland’s Ancient East: a major tourist initiative that provides multiple business opportunities.

Presenting alongside Stephens will be Larry Byrne, an economic ambassador for the southeastern region of Ireland, especially the county of Wexford, the county of origin most represented among Savannah’s proud Irish population. Byrne’s special focus areas are golf, heritage tourism, and the broader hospitality industry.
