Ireland and Its European Future

Join the World Affairs council of Atlanta for a luncheon discussion on “Ireland and Its European Future” featuring Irish Ambassador to the United States Daniel Mulhall.

No country outside of the UK has more at stake in the Brexit negotiations than Ireland. The UK and Ireland are co-guarantors of the Northern Ireland Peace Process, the UK is a key trade and investment partner for Ireland and these two neighbours share a land border.

As these negotiations come to a crucial stage, Ireland’s Ambassador to the United States of America, Daniel Mulhall, will speak about “Ireland’s European Future”.

Daniel Mulhall took up duty as Ireland’s 18th Ambassador to the United States in August 2017. Before coming to Washington, he served as Ireland’s Ambassador in London (2013-17) and in Berlin (2009-13). He will speak from this unique perspective on the course that Ireland is charting in today’s choppy seas and on the implications for the U.S.-Ireland relationship.
