Joseph & Evelyn Lowery Institute Presents Africa: Forever Linked Interactive Experience

Atlanta, GA – The Joseph and Evelyn Lowery Institute for Justice and Human Rights (Lowery Institute) in partnership with the Camellia Rose Chapter of the Links, Inc. will host an educational and interactive simulation of the life of a Malawian girl, as the daughter of Bishop Desmond Tutu, Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe, relates the activities to the actual lives of girls in Malawi. Participants will be exposed to the daily life of girls in Malawi by walking from station to station, simulating the choices, challenges and experiences of a girl/woman in Malawi just to perform basic tasks like cooking, walking an average mile to school, functioning without electricity, caring for elderly and infants, etc. They will also have display of the Tutu Desks that the Lowery Institute is raising funds to purchase to support the children in Malawi through Somebody Cares of Malawi. The event is free and open to the public.
The Joseph and Evelyn Lowery Institute for Justice & Human Rights is a 501 C 3 non-profit organization established to ensure the continuity of the advocacy of Dr. Joseph E.
