Rabin 25: An Online Commemoration of the Life and Legacy of Yitzhak Rabin

This one-hour virtual event will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the assassination of Prime Minister of Israel and Nobel Prize laureate, Yitzhak Rabin. As a tribute to Rabin’s life and legacy, Consul General Anat Sultan-Dadon and Rev. Dr. Lawrence Edward Carter, Sr. will be joined by Ambassador (Fmr.) Itamar Rabinovich, who worked closely with Rabin in different capacities.

Itamar Rabinovich is Professor Emeritus of Middle Eastern History at Tel Aviv University. He is Israel’s former ambassador to the United States and former Chief Negotiator with Syria in the mid-1990s, and the former President of Tel Aviv University (1999-2007). He is President Emeritus and Counselor of the Israel Institute (Washington and Tel Aviv), and a Distinguished Fellow of the Brooking Institution’s Foreign Policy Program.

This event is hosted in covenant with the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College and the Consulate General of Israel to the Southeast.
