The US NORDIC Business Round Table draws Leaders from the public and private sectors. These events promote bilateral trade, investment, and culture and connect leaders to facilitate Development, Business, Investment, Job Creation, Education, and Cultural Exchange.
11th LARGEST ECONOMY IN THE WORLD The Nordic region is the 11th largest economy consisting of 26 million people living in five countries; Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. The region tops many international rankings e.g. when it comes to transparency, trust, the environment, gender equality and happiness. It also has one of the most highly educated populations in the world which brings many innovative solutions.
WHY THE NORDICS WORK TOGETHER The Nordics work together because we share common perspectives such as trust in each other and in leaders, compassion, tolerance and conviction about the equal value of all people. All countries also have a focus in sustainable management of the environment and possess new ways of thinking about prioritizing innovations.
TOP SCORES ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE INDEX
Since 2000, the Nordic economies have grown by 28% – at the same time total CO2 emissions have been reduced by 18%. The Nordic countries are also at the top of the Environmental Performance Index where four out of our five countries are among the four highest ranking.
