Dusseldorf, Germany-based Novero on Thursday will debut a new video player designed as stylish eyewear at the Consumer Electronics Show.
The device is dubbed Madison and will be available for demonstration at the Las Vegas trade show Jan. 6-9.
Novero’s primary products are Bluetooth accessories including the Victoria line, necklaces that double as wireless headsets and retail for $259-$999. The company’s North American sales and marketing office is in Atlanta.
The video component of the Madison eyewear is controlled via Bluetooth by a handheld media player, and the display is equivalent to looking at a 30-inch screen from six feet away, according to a Novero news release.
“As a company, we remain committed to merging style and sophistication with boldness and best-in-class operability to present products that inspire the user just as much as they inspire us, the creator,” said Razvan Olosu, Novero’s CEO, in the release.
Novero was founded in 2008 when Mr. Olosu and a German private equity firm bought out handset maker Nokia‘s automotive business unit, which Mr. Olosu led, according to news reports. Novero now has more than 425 employees across offices in Europe, North America and Asia.
In addition to mobile accessories, the company provides in-car wireless devices for luxury automobile companies.
