The largest electronic payments processor in Mexico, E-Global, has implemented an NCR Corp. payments transactions platform providing faster, more accurate processing.

According to an NCR news release, the platform can route transactions between multiple acquirers, issuers, networks and other switches and supports a wide range of point-of-sale devices and terminals.

E-Global is owned by BBVA Bancomer, CITI Banamex and HSBC and provides switching and card processing services to nearly two-thirds of Mexico’s 350,000 point-of-sale devices.

It processes transactions for all credit and debit cards as well as electronic transactions which have grown at a rate of 10 percent a year to more than 7 million daily.
